Good or bad depends on the intentions of the website you're visiting, and unfortunately also of the many 3rd party script sources it includes. Users should have a chance to decide which sites they trust to run JavaScript and which they do not, and this is the reason why 18 years ago I've created NoScript, and why it is still there and shipped by default inside the Tor Browser. Use a different name, password, and email if you can. Keep an adblocker and noscript handy. Don't accept cookies from new sites. Maybe even use the TOR browser for better anonymity and safety while you're giving these new platforms a test run. Source: 11 months ago
I do (with the NoScript browser extension: https://noscript.net/). The main reason is to reduce my attack surface. A secondary benefit is it eliminates most ads and other annoying distractions. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
I'll give an example of NoScript which is a great project that you should be using. Most people download the extension directly though their browser. Firefox shows 317,244 active users and Chromium shows 100,000+ users. Some people know of the website. Less people know of the GitHub project the NoScript Common Library (nscl). NoScript has 645 stars and nscl has 15 stars. 417,244+ active users and only 660 stars.... Source: 12 months ago
Https://getadblock.com/en/ This one works fine with me on Opera GX. You can go to your browser's web store, like the Chrome Web Store and download one. If you switch to a browser like Brave or Opera GX, you can have a built-in one, which is easier. Source: 10 months ago
Interesting, I usually don't get pop ups on soap2day or that site(only if I miss click on the play button or something similar sometimes). I use an ad blocker though so maybe thats why. I get WAY more when I use my iphone though. Source: 11 months ago
If I were you I would contact official steam support at the Steam Help Page, maybe they'll be able to help you, make sure to use an AD-Block or a VPN to stay safe out here on the internet. Wish you good luck. Source: 11 months ago
This issue just appeared today, I've never seen it before. I'm using NordVPN with kill switch enabled, and I already checked with https://www.iplocation.net/ and http://checkmyip.torrentprivacy.com/ to confirm I'm routing all traffic through the VPN. I tried getting a new IP from Nord, but it still didn't fix it. I'm using this ad block plugin in chrome https://getadblock.com/en/ , so I don't think this is an ad. Source: about 1 year ago
I have an AdBlock extension for my Chrome browser on desktop: https://getadblock.com/en/. Source: over 1 year ago
