Some users have reported that Moz can be slow in updating keyword rankings and other metrics, which can be frustrating for those needing real-time data.
  • Limited Global Databases
While Moz is strong in certain regions, its databases are less comprehensive in some international markets compared to competitors.
  • Complexity for Beginners
Despite its user-friendly interface, the depth and breadth of tools can be overwhelming for complete beginners to SEO.
  • Data Accuracy
While generally reliable, there have been occasional concerns about the accuracy of Moz's backlink data compared to other SEO tools.
  • Pricing
Moz Pro is relatively expensive compared to some other SEO tools, which might be a barrier for small businesses and individual users.
  • Learning Curve
While the interface is user-friendly, the depth and breadth of features mean that new users may need time to learn how to use the platform effectively.
  • Limited Data for Lower Tiers
Some of the lower-priced plans offer limited access to data and features, which may not be sufficient for larger or more competitive websites.
  • Data Limitations
There may be limitations in terms of data availability and accuracy, particularly in comparison to some competitors who offer broader datasets.
  • Steep Learning Curve for Advanced Features
While basic features are user-friendly, some of the more advanced functionalities may require a bit of a learning curve for new users.
  • Limited International Focus
Moz has historically had a stronger focus on the US market, which may limit its applicability for users focusing predominantly on international SEO.
  • Keyword Data Restrictions
Users sometimes report limitations in keyword data, particularly when compared with other tools that offer more extensive keyword research capabilities.
  • Limited Free Features
Many of the advanced features of MozBar require a paid subscription, making it less accessible for users who prefer free tools.

  1. Appwrite is awesome, free and open-source!

I've use it instead of Firebase on a 15$ DigitalOcean droplet and saved around ~$150 a month. Managing my own infra does take some extra time, but definitely worth it. The APIs and SDK are also surprisingly much easier to consume than Firebase. Waiting for the cloud version.
