Can anyone help me out? - If you want a native encrypted cloud storage, one of the better priced ones is Mega. The free tier gives you up to 20GB to use. Here's a referral link if you want extra free storage a well. It's still E2EE, but not open-sourced. They do, however, have an audit on their encryption and source codes. An alternative for Photo cloud storage is tripup.app. Client + server code is open source. It's a hosted service but with self-hosted version coming soon. Currently available on iOS right now but with plans for Android support soon. Source: almost 5 years ago
For what its worth, I built tripup.app precisely because I didnโt want to lose access to my photos and be beholden to a big company like Google/Apple. Hence the code is fully open source (client and server code), so you have access to the server-side code and API already and don't have to wait for it to shut down.
