Sorry, but _what exactly_ «it seems to do» from your point of view? My «second brain» now is almost 300Mb of text, pictures, sound files, PDF and other stuff. I'm currently trying to popularize Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/ Vimeo is a great alternative to Youtube and really it's only downside is that is has very little users. Because Vimeo is just NOT a bunch of greedy assholes like Youtube, you can actually earn more on vimeo than on youtube in a lot of the cases.
