I don't know how good of an idea it would be to offer an extension with ads. Maybe it would be too much. Maybe you should try something like Helpfull to see how you should market it. If you're looking for commitment from your users maybe you should try a service like Helpfull- it will show your product or service to a broad group of people and allow them to back you up, all the while helping your market research.
