Avidemux is recommended for users who are new to video editing or those who need to perform basic edits quickly and efficiently. It's also ideal for individuals looking for a free tool to handle simple cutting and encoding tasks without a steep learning curve. However, users looking for advanced editing features might need to consider more robust software.

General Coding Assessment (GCA): the harder of the two, but manageable with preparation. It's done on CodeSignal, either in person or online. To prepare, practice DSA questions on competitive programming sites like LeetCode, Codewars, and CodeChef for 1–2 weeks, and you should be in good shape. - Source: dev.to / 28 days ago

Plain BST. Fine when input is random or the problem doesn't require worst-case guarantees. Tree problems on LeetCode typically assume balanced input and don't ask you to maintain balance yourself. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Your preparation should not be random. Platforms like LeetCode, Codeforces, and GeeksforGeeks are tools—but what matters is how you use them. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago

For that kind of functionality, I would always recommend Avidemux[0]. It's quite a light package (which I like), and it allows you to do that and some other useful things too. [0] http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/. - Source: Hacker News / 6 days ago
Remux vs reencode itself is a big point for video noobs such as myself. In the past, cropping out a part of a video would meant reencoding it in some random preset. This would often take longer than required. however, accidentally realized the difference when trying out avidemux [1] and clipping together videos blazing fast (provided in same container and format)! There are a lot of free apps to make lightweight edits to videos on windows. One example is Avidemux. I have high-end video editors but Avidemux comes in handy more often than it should. http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Avidemux is cross-platform and pretty easy to use, without too much of a learning curve. You can set both audio and video to copy when you just want to convert formats with losing quality. For adding a text or a watermark you'd use the "Add logo" filter and maybe tweak down the alpha setting to make it semi-transparent. However you can't do fancy tricks like make the text move across the screen or anything like... Source: over 3 years ago
I just stumbled upon the Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor and was wondering if someone could tell me whether it would be compatible with Avidemux, which I'm currently using to quickly edit some VHS rips. There's a potential that the Speed Editor would save me a lot of button presses on the keyboard, since I do all the editing on the keyboard in Avidemix. Source: almost 4 years ago
