TimeFlipTimeFlip's answer:
We are building a human-friendly and educating IoT device to help individuals in managing their time and workload. Unlike pure digital time tracking apps, TimeFlip is a connected, physical device. This provides radically different UX and ensures ease of use and instant adoption. TIMEFLIP2 is an app-powered dice that makes time tracking easy and accessible to anyone, irrespective of their level of computer literacy. This tactile device sits on the userโs desk and logs time with a simple flip. The device comes in the shape of a dodecahedron with 12 sides that can be assigned to 12 different tasks or activities. At the start, a user marks his/her tasks or activities on the sides of TIMEFLIP2 and assigns them in the mobile app. The tracker is fully set to work. Now a user only needs to place TIMEFLIP2 so that the current activity is facing up and the device will log time for it. Time logs are stored in the local memory without the need of permanent connection to the app. The tracker automatically syncs with the app once the app is opened. The app pushes time logs further to AWS cloud for storage, visualization and export via our proprietary web interface.
TimeFlip's answer:
More natural and human-friendly UI of a physical device that makes time tracking easy and accessible to anyone, irrespective of their level of computer literacy.

These kinds of comparisons rarely lead to good discussions. Let's instead be focused and talk about real stuff. Consider https://learnpythonthehardway.org/ for example. It has influenced a generation of Python developers. Not just the main website, but the tons of Python code and Python-related content it inspired. Why would anyone write these kinds of textbooks/websites/guides if AI can replace them? Arguibly,... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

There's a couple of options in this space for "timer gadgets" - smart physical objects that link to an app and use their physical orientation to count against a particular timer. https://timeflip.io/ https://timeular.com/tracker/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Https://timeflip.io/ is a similar commercial product. Could be a source of inspiration. Source: about 3 years ago
Https://timeflip.io/ might recommend something like that. Won't get rid of the time tracking but might make it easier and less mind numbing. Source: about 3 years ago
Computer guy here (CS engineer, actually). Are you looking for a solution that integrates with your existing software, or only a physical time tracker? There are2 kinds of devices, one being some kind of dice like the timeflip, the other more like a hardware button like timebuzzer. Source: over 3 years ago
Maybe something like a TimeFlip would work for you. They're not the only people who make a like device; there are cubes too if you want to be less granular. Source: over 3 years ago
