Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Laidback.so and 2win.cloud.

What makes your product unique?

Laidback.so's answer

Laidback doesn't resell the same candidate database snapshot every other AI sourcing tool queries. It runs a live search against your role, screens every profile against screening criteria you control, and scores signals that don't exist as filter dimensions elsewhere — trajectory, eagerness to move, and evidence of what someone actually built, not just title, company, and years. If an engineer never typed a keyword into their profile, keyword tools can't see them; Laidback infers and cross-references. And it learns: one sentence of feedback rewrites the criteria for the next search round, so round two is sharper than round one, every time.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Laidback.so's answer

Most AI sourcing tools give your three competitors the same shortlist from the same database with the same filters. Laidback finds people who aren't applying, screens each one against your specific criteria, and delivers dossiers instead of resumes — who they are, how they score, why they fit — so you qualify or pass in one move. Outreach and follow-ups are included and written like proper recruiter mail; the moment a real reply lands, it's your conversation. The candidate pool you build stays yours. You keep the strategic half of hiring; Laidback does the legwork.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Laidback.so's answer

Recruitment agencies and early teams hiring their first ~20 people without becoming full-time recruiters, plus lean talent teams at startups and scale-ups who need senior, hard-to-reach candidates (engineering, design, product) and don't have hours for sourcing, screening, and follow-up. If your ideal hire isn't applying anywhere, Laidback is built for you.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Laidback.so's answer

React 19 with TypeScript and Vite on the frontend, styled with Tailwind CSS. The backend is Python with FastAPI and async SQLAlchemy, built around a domain-driven architecture, running on Google Cloud with Auth0 for authentication. LLM-powered pipelines handle job-description parsing, criteria generation, profile screening, and outreach drafting.

What's the story behind your product?

Laidback.so's answer

Laidback started from the founder's own experience hiring while building: sourcing tools all queried the same stale snapshot, filters skipped the signals that actually decide a hire, and "AI recruiting" mostly meant keyword search with a chat UI. We built the tool we wanted — describe the role in plain words, get screened dossiers back, give feedback in a sentence, and watch the next round get sharper.
