And it alerts you, the agency or MSP, across every client and every registrar in one place. It was built around a painfully common failure mode: an agency loses a client's site because the domain expired — the registrar's reminder went to the client (whose payment card had since expired), and the agency only found out when the site went dark and the client called. Registrars remind the owner; nobody reminds the agency.
