ip·Solis is the missing layer between a CMDB, IAM/HR systems and provisioning runbooks — a self-hosted platform for IT Asset Lifecycle Management with self-service and automation, built for teams running mixed on-prem and cloud estates.

Employees request VDIs, shared desktops, SaaS or any IT asset through a self-service portal with OpenID Connect SSO — Entra ID, Okta, Ping, Google, Keycloak or any compliant IdP, plus on-prem AD/LDAP. Managers approve in one click, with multi-approver quorums, conditional rules and out-of-office delegation. Chained PowerShell 7 runbooks then execute against Active Directory, SCCM, XenServer/XCP-ng and VMware vSphere — with critical-step semantics and overlap protection.

Assets are managed across their full lifecycle: pooled or personal assignment, quotas, expiry reminders and policy-driven deprovisioning. Compliance is built in: access certification campaigns (ISO 27001 / SOX / PCI), an append-only audit log with JSON diffs, SCIM 2.0 and HR-webhook leaver flows (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Microsoft Graph), SIEM streaming (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and Prometheus/OpenTelemetry observability. A cost report tracks spend by provider, consumer and department.

ip·Solis is API-first (OpenAPI/Swagger, scoped tokens, webhooks) and deploys in an afternoon via Docker Compose — on-prem or fully air-gapped, with no telemetry.

Free for productive use with up to 25 active users, including in a commercial or organizational context (plus private use, 30-day evaluation and non-productive research/teaching). Above 25 active users a commercial license applies, priced in volume bands (from €1,488/year for 26–75 users, €2,988/year for 76–250; larger volumes on request). Source-available under the XenPool Commercial Source License — not open source. B2B only.

SuperCoder features and specs

  • Automated Coding Assistance
SuperCoder leverages AI agent capabilities to automate coding tasks, potentially speeding up development workflows by handling repetitive or boilerplate coding work.
  • Built on SuperAGI Framework
As an agent template within the SuperAGI ecosystem, it benefits from the underlying framework's infrastructure, tooling, and community support for autonomous agents.
  • Customizable Template
Being a template, it provides a starting point that developers can adapt and configure for their specific coding project needs rather than building an agent from scratch.
  • Open Source Nature
SuperAGI and its agent templates are typically open source, allowing developers to inspect, modify, and extend the code to fit their specific use cases without vendor lock-in.
  • Integration Potential
Being part of a broader agent ecosystem, SuperCoder can potentially integrate with other tools, APIs, and agents within the SuperAGI platform for more complex automated workflows.

Possible disadvantages of SuperCoder

  • Learning Curve
Users unfamiliar with the SuperAGI framework or agent-based architectures may face a steep learning curve to effectively configure and use SuperCoder for their projects.
  • Limited Documentation
As a relatively newer or niche tool, documentation and community resources may be less mature compared to more established coding assistants, making troubleshooting harder.
  • Dependency on SuperAGI Ecosystem
Being tied to the SuperAGI platform means users must adopt or work within that ecosystem, which could be a constraint if they prefer standalone tools.
  • Potential Reliability Issues
AI coding agents can sometimes produce inconsistent or incorrect code suggestions, requiring careful human review and validation before deployment.
  • Setup Complexity
Configuring an autonomous coding agent template may require more technical setup (API keys, environment configuration, model access) compared to simpler code completion tools.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing ip·Solis and SuperCoder.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ip·Solis's answer

IT Operations leads, Workplace Engineering and IAM teams, plus IT FinOps and CISOs, in mid-market and enterprise organizations running mixed on-prem and cloud estates — especially Microsoft-centric environments (Entra ID, Active Directory, SCCM, Teams) that need self-service provisioning with strong approval workflows, audit trails and compliance.

What makes your product unique?

ip·Solis's answer

ip·Solis is the missing layer between a CMDB, your IAM/HR systems, and provisioning runbooks. Most tools cover one slice — asset inventory, ticketing, or scripting. ip·Solis ties the whole lifecycle together:

  • Self-service portal — employees request VDIs, shared desktops, SaaS or any IT asset.
  • One-click approvals — manager approval, multi-approver quorums, conditional rules.
  • Runbook automation — chained PowerShell 7 steps provision and reclaim against Active Directory, SCCM, XenServer and VMware.
  • Compliance & cost built in — access certification, append-only audit log, SCIM 2.0, HR leaver flows, cost reporting.

It's self-hosted and deploys in an afternoon via Docker — on-prem or fully air-gapped.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ip·Solis's answer

  • All features in one image — no feature-gating, no "modules" to buy.
  • Self-hosted / on-prem / air-gapped — your data and credentials never leave your datacenter, unlike SaaS-only ITSM suites.
  • Real provisioning, not just inventory — PowerShell runbooks act on AD, SCCM, XenServer and VMware; it's not a passive CMDB.
  • Deploys in hours with Docker, not a six-month, six-figure implementation project.
  • Compliance built in — access certification (ISO 27001 / SOX / PCI), append-only audit log, SCIM 2.0, automated HR leaver offboarding.
  • Transparent pricing — free for non-commercial use; one flat commercial license, no per-seat surprises.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

ip·Solis's answer

  • API & dispatcher: Python 3.12 with FastAPI
  • Workflow engine: Celery + Redis (scheduling via Celery Beat)
  • Database: PostgreSQL 16 (SQLAlchemy + Alembic)
  • Automation: PowerShell 7 against Active Directory, SCCM, XenServer/XCP-ng and VMware vSphere (PowerCLI)
  • Frontend: HTMX + Jinja2 + Tailwind CSS
  • Auth: Entra ID (MSAL) SSO
  • Packaging: Docker / Docker Compose behind Nginx
  • Standards: SCIM 2.0, OpenAPI/Swagger, Prometheus metrics, OpenTelemetry tracing

What's the story behind your product?

ip·Solis's answer

ip·Solis grew out of roughly 30 years of hands-on datacenter operations experience. Enterprise IT automation shouldn't require a six-month rollout and a six-figure license — yet teams kept rebuilding the same self-service + approval + provisioning glue by hand. ip·Solis packages that into one opinionated, self-hostable platform you can deploy in an afternoon. It's built and maintained by XenPool GmbH in Garching near Munich, Germany.
