htmx gives you access to AJAX, CSS Transitions, WebSockets and Server Sent Events directly in HTML, using attributes, so you can build modern user interfaces with the simplicity and power of hypertext
htmx is small (~14k min.gzโd), dependency-free, extendable, IE11 compatible & has reduced code base sizes by 67% when compared with react
GitHub DesktopGitHub Desktop might be a bit more popular than htmx. We know about 136 links to it since March 2021 and only 132 links to htmx. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Blurring of the lines. React Server Components (RSC) and associated frameworks such as NextJS involve code executing on both server and client, while HTMX focuses on markup and emphasises use of full-stack/backend templating engines to generate code targetting the browser. Working with these new tools blurs the distinction between the front end and back end skill set. - Source: dev.to / 1 day ago
The web panel is server-rendered HTML with htmx for fragment updates โ and htmx itself is embedded in the Go binary with embed.FS, so the dashboard works fully offline:. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
IF YOU'VE been developing htmx apps for a while, you might have tried to cache the HTML fragments generated by your server as htmx responses. Caching htmx fragments is the equivalent of caching JSON responses in a SPA. Eg, you might have a fragment response from GET /users/:id that renders a user detail view. You might want to cache this view to avoid expensive queries in the backend if you know the user details... - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
For web stuff, I enjoy https://htmx.org so Go + Templ + HTMX (aka the GOTH stack) Or, if you prefer more of a power tools feel, then HTMX and Raku in functional style (https://harcstack.org) maybe to your liking. Which I call the Crotch Rocket of the programming world. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
HTMX is founded on the fundamental question of why canโt any HTML element trigger an HTTP request or receive an HTML response. There is a more expanded version of the https://htmx.org website, but I feel this is the crux of it. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
Optional: You can also download GitHub Desktop (https://desktop.github.com) if you prefer a GUI version, but this guide focuses on Git Bash to understand the basics. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago

Iโm not going to dive into Git commands here โ you can find plenty of tutorials online. If youโre not a fan of using the plain terminal CLI, you can also manage repositories with tools like GitHub Desktop or SourceTree, which provide a more visual, intuitive interface. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
Using terminal commands isnโt necessary for basic adoption of Git with Corticon Studio files, though. There are various tools that will allow us to bypass the command line when defining rules, including the built-in Eclipse plugin for Git version control. If youโll be storing your assets on GitHub, though, an even easier solution is GitHub Desktop, a free desktop software that GitHub offers. It can be used in... - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
Nix currently is akin to git's "porcelain": powerful but esoteric. However, much like git evolved into exoteric, user-friendly tools such as git-flow, GitHub Desktop, and Tower to become user-friendly, many developers are building abstractions, wrappers, and utilities to simplify Nix usage. Let's briefly look at a few of these tools now. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
