Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing GitHub and PassReady.uk.

What's the story behind your product?

PassReady.uk's answer:

PassReady was created by a hospitality operator with around 25 years of industry experience, including many years managing busy kitchens. The idea came from seeing how difficult it can be to keep food-safety records organised, spot problems early and stay ready for an inspection while also running service. PassReady was built to make that process simpler, clearer and more useful in everyday operations.

What makes your product unique?

PassReady.uk's answer:

PassReady combines day-to-day food-safety records with inspection readiness, AI guidance and visual checks. Instead of only storing checklists, it helps operators understand what needs attention, what action to take and what evidence to keep. Features such as Advisor, SHOW AI Vision, self-audits, allergen management and corrective-action tracking work together in one system.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

PassReady.uk's answer:

PassReady is designed around real kitchen operations rather than paperwork alone. It brings audits, temperatures, allergens, corrective actions, illness records and inspection evidence together, then uses Advisor to help operators act on what the system finds. It is also designed for both UK and US food businesses, with region-specific terminology and inspection context.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PassReady.uk's answer:

PassReady is aimed at restaurants, takeaways, pubs, cafés, food trucks and other hospitality businesses that need a practical way to manage food safety and stay ready for inspections. It is suitable for independent operators as well as growing multi-site businesses.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

PassReady.uk's answer:

PassReady is built as a modern web application using React, Node.js/Express, Tailwind CSS and MySQL, with cloud deployment and AI-powered features integrated into the platform. It is delivered as a responsive progressive web app for use on phones, tablets and desktop devices.
