GeekLink is a batch-first subtitle factory — not a single-video editor. Most subtitle tools process one video at a time. GeekLink lets you import dozens or hundreds of videos at once and run them through a complete pipeline (speech recognition, OCR extraction, AI translation, subtitle styling, and export) in a single continuous workflow. Everything runs 100% locally on your Mac — your videos never leave your device.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Three reasons: batch scale, local privacy, and all-in-one workflow. Competitors either process one video at a time (CapCut, Subtitle Edit), require cloud uploads (Veed, Kapwing), or only handle one step like transcription without translation and burn-in. GeekLink combines speech-to-text, OCR, AI translation (13+ languages), a style editor, and video export into one app — no subscriptions, no per-minute fees, no data leaving your machine. Import 50 videos, configure once, click Run.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Content creators who work with video at scale: YouTube creators localizing their channels into multiple languages, short drama studios translating 50-80 episodes for international distribution, educators adding subtitles to course libraries, and media companies processing large video catalogs. Anyone who needs subtitles on more than a handful of videos and doesn't want to pay per minute or upload to the cloud.

What's the story behind your product?

GeekLink.dev's answer

GeekLink started from a personal frustration: translating video content across languages was painfully slow and expensive. Every tool on the market made you process one video at a time, upload to someone else's cloud, or pay per minute. I built GeekLink to solve this for myself first — a local app that could chew through an entire video library in one sitting. The "Subtitle Factory" concept clicked: import raw videos on one end, get fully subtitled exports on the other. I shipped the first beta in early 2026 and have been iterating based on real user feedback ever since.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

GeekLink.dev's answer

Python for the core engine, FFmpeg for video processing, and large language models for AI translation. The app is built as a native macOS application optimized for Apple Silicon (M1–M4) with on-device acceleration.
