I'm looking at the WSGI specification and I'm trying to figure out how servers like uWSGI fit into the picture. I understand the point of the WSGI spec is to separate web servers like nginx from web applications like something you'd write using Flask. What I don't understand is what uWSGI is for. Any getsitecontrol.com alternatives that can be recommended. Granted it is very easy to use and we use it simply to put up banners and some limited marketing stuff. But $45/month($1740/year) for 5 sites is limiting. That can't be the norm. Source: about 3 years ago
