Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Fit Horizon and CommitCat.

What makes your product unique?

Fit Horizon's answer

Fit Horizon is built around detailed workout tracking instead of generic exercise logging. Many workout apps treat every variation as the same movement, but Fit Horizon lets athletes track details like grip, tempo, assistance, equipment, range of motion, body position, target muscles, routines, and recovery context.

That makes it especially useful for calisthenics, gym training, mobility work, and any training style where small exercise differences matter for long-term progress.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Fit Horizon's answer

Choose Fit Horizon if you want a free workout tracker that is flexible enough for serious training but still simple enough to start with as a beginner.

Fit Horizon focuses on precise workout logs, reusable routines, exercise variations, target muscles, workout history, and recovery context. It is a good fit for people who feel limited by trackers that are expensive, too rigid, too focused on upsells, or too generic for calisthenics and detailed strength training.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Fit Horizon's answer

Fit Horizon is for people who want better workout tracking, especially calisthenics athletes, gym athletes, mobility-focused athletes, and beginners who want a training log that can grow with them.

The core audience is athletes whose progress depends on details: exercise variations, target muscles, strict reps, tempo, assistance, equipment, routines, recovery, and honest comparisons over time.

What's the story behind your product?

Fit Horizon's answer

Fit Horizon started from a simple problem: normal workout logs become blurry once training gets more specific.

For example, a pull-up can mean many different things: weighted pull-ups, assisted pull-ups, ring pull-ups, wide-grip pull-ups, slow-tempo reps, L-sit chin-ups, or partial range work. If all of those are tracked as the same exercise, the history becomes less useful.

Fit Horizon was built to make workout tracking more precise without making it painful to use. The goal is to help beginners start simply, while giving advanced athletes the flexibility they need as training becomes more detailed.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Fit Horizon's answer

Fit Horizon’s mobile app is built with Flutter and Dart for iOS and Android.

The app uses local-first mobile storage technologies such as Hive and SharedPreferences, with Provider for app state. The broader Fit Horizon web ecosystem uses Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, Cloudflare Workers, and Fly.io.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Fit Horizon's answer

  • Fit Horizon is an early-stage consumer app, so we do not publish named customer logos yet.
  • Current users include individual calisthenics athletes, gym athletes, and early testers using Fit Horizon for personal workout tracking.
