Most FACEIT tools tell you how good your opponent is. Prefire tells you how they play.

When the match room loads, Prefire pulls each opponent's public demos and replays their past rounds on an interactive tactical map: the paths they actually walked, the grenades they actually threw with full trajectories, a timeline you can scrub, and CT/T heatmaps of where they hold and where they take opening duels.

Two things make that unusual:

• It happens inside the lobby. No link to paste, no site to open, no account, no API key. The scouting layer appears on the FACEIT page you are already looking at.
• It is movement, not numbers. A rating tells you a player is good. A replay of his last five rounds tells you he takes the same off-angle at palace every single time.

It is free, it reads only finished public matches, and it never touches the game client.

Prefire does a different job than most of the tools it sits next to:

• Leetify analyses your own play to make you better. Prefire analyses the five people about to shoot at you. They work well together.
• Repeek is an excellent quality of life layer for FACEIT: elo, auto accept, match history. It has no tactical scouting. Prefire runs alongside it.
• csstats.gg and Tracker.gg give you numbers. Numbers do not tell you which corner a player holds on the second round of a gun round.
• Scope.gg Prematch is the closest thing to Prefire, and the honest comparison is this: Scope costs 7.99 a month, needs an account and a card, and makes you copy your lobby link into their website before every match. Prefire is free, needs no account, and is simply already there when the room opens.

The short version: if you want prematch scouting without a subscription and without a five step routine before every game, that is the gap Prefire fills.

Competitive Counter-Strike 2 players on FACEIT who care about winning the match, not just tracking their rating.

In practice that means:

• Solo queue and stack players who want to know what they are walking into before the first round
• Players who understand that watching your opponents' demos works, but do not have two hours per match to do it
• Team and mix captains preparing a veto and a default against a known opponent
• Mid to high level players, where opponents have enough recent matches for patterns to be real rather than noise

The interface is available in English and Russian. Demo based features currently cover Mirage, while stats, form, bans and team ELO work on every map.

Prefire started as a tool I built for myself.

Professional teams prepare for opponents by watching their demos. Everyone else queues blind, loses to the same off-angle three times in a row, and calls it bad luck. The gap is not skill, it is preparation time.

So I wrote a parser that pulled public FACEIT demos and drew where players had actually been standing. It was a local script before it was anything else. The useful part turned out not to be the statistics but the picture: once you see five rounds of someone's movement on a map, the pattern is obvious in seconds.

That became a browser extension so the picture appears where the decision gets made, in the match room itself. It went public on the Chrome Web Store in August 2026 and is in open beta now: free, no paid tier, source on GitHub, map coverage expanding from Mirage outward.

Prefire is developed independently and is not officially endorsed by or affiliated with FACEIT.

Prefire is in free open app and has no commercial customers yet. It is used by individual FACEIT Counter-Strike 2 players and by a few small teams and mixes preparing for their own matches.
