About Export Bank Statement and DocParser

In their own words, as submitted to SaaSHub.

Export Bank Statement
DocParser

Converts bank statement PDFs into clean Excel, CSV or accounting-ready files. Before you download, it checks that the opening balance plus credits minus debits matches the closing balance the bank printed — so dropped rows and misread figures are flagged rather than silently exported....

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Export Bank Statement and DocParser.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Export Bank Statement's answer

We're early — launched in 2026 and not yet naming customers.

What's the story behind your product?

Export Bank Statement's answer

Built by a solo developer after watching how much of bookkeeping is still retyping numbers from PDFs — and how no converter would tell you whether it had got them right. Reconciliation was the whole point from the start: a converter you can't check is just faster guessing.

What makes your product unique?

Export Bank Statement's answer

It proves its own output. Before you download, opening balance plus credits minus debits is checked against the closing balance the bank printed — and you can export a reconciliation certificate as evidence. Most converters hand you numbers and hope. It also goes past conversion into analytics: 12-category auto-tagging, recurring-payment detection, and an income & affordability report for mortgage and loan applications.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Export Bank Statement's answer

Eleven export formats including QBO, OFX, QIF, Tally XML and Xero/QuickBooks CSV — not just Excel. Password-protected PDFs are unlocked in your browser, so the password never touches a server, which matters for Indian e-statements locked by default. There's a real REST API with webhooks and SDKs. And the free tier works without an account.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Export Bank Statement's answer

Bookkeepers, accountants and small business owners across the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and India. Secondary: developers who need statement parsing via API, and anyone preparing statements for a mortgage or loan application.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Export Bank Statement's answer

Next.js and TypeScript on Vercel, Payload CMS, PostgreSQL via Supabase, Redis via Upstash, and a Python extraction service. Conversion of QIF/OFX files and PDF decryption run client-side in the browser.
