The thing that I personally like about Evernote is that before I have used word as my note taking application, than on my smartphone I have had used Google Keep and so my notes were just unorganized mess. But with Evernote now I can have my notes at one place and unified. Also the fact that I can log to another device and my notes are "just there" is really nice. And also I like graphics user interface of Evernote.

Obsidian is a multi-platform note-taking and writing app. Simple enough. But aren't there plenty of those around? Yes absolutely, but they each have downsides that I wasn't able to settle with long-term. With Google Cloud it was the difficult of linking between notes (this has improved since but it's still not quite what I want). I have seen this request pop up quite a few times. I did a quick search for free APIs of zipcode lookups. This one, named "zipcodestack" (I'm not in any way tied to, endorsing, or promoting them) seemed like a pretty good resource with up to 10,000 free lookups each month.
