The thing that I personally like about Evernote is that before I have used word as my note taking application, than on my smartphone I have had used Google Keep and so my notes were just unorganized mess. But with Evernote now I can have my notes at one place and unified. Also the fact that I can log to another device and my notes are "just there" is really nice. And also I like graphics user interface of Evernote.

Obsidian is a multi-platform note-taking and writing app. Simple enough. But aren't there plenty of those around? Yes absolutely, but they each have downsides that I wasn't able to settle with long-term. With Google Cloud it was the difficult of linking between notes (this has improved since but it's still not quite what I want). HOWEVER, you can setup to charge at a J1772 Level-2 charging station which are ALL over the place and often free. Checkout plugshare.com to find them. These are essentially fancy 220v chargers and can be converted to charge power banks and onboard batteries.... The question then becomes the legality of doing it in your area.
