The thing that I personally like about Evernote is that before I have used word as my note taking application, than on my smartphone I have had used Google Keep and so my notes were just unorganized mess. But with Evernote now I can have my notes at one place and unified. Also the fact that I can log to another device and my notes are "just there" is really nice. And also I like graphics user interface of Evernote.

Obsidian is a multi-platform note-taking and writing app. Simple enough. But aren't there plenty of those around? Yes absolutely, but they each have downsides that I wasn't able to settle with long-term. There is also https://us.ovhcloud.com/ which appears to be a different site entirely. If I attempt to make an account here, I simply never receive a verification email, although verification works fine via the other URLs. There is a warning about US customers prior to 2018 can sign in via ovh.com/world, which if I follow this out of curiosity, it brings me to the site that redirects me to ca.ovh.com.
