InnerZero is a free, private AI assistant that runs entirely on your own PC.
It uses open-source AI models on your hardware, so by default nothing leaves your machine. No cloud, no account, no telemetry, no tracking. Just you and your AI.
InnerZero works fully offline. If you choose to enable cloud models, only your current message and a short context window are sent. Your memory, full history, and files are never sent. You can also bring your own API keys for providers like DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, with zero markup, going straight from your device to the provider.
The desktop app is free, with no trial and no account required. Optional paid plans cover managed cloud access, and a business licence is available for commercial use.

InnerZero was created to flip that, putting a genuinely capable assistant on the user's own machine, with their data staying with them by default. It is developed in the UK and shipped free to download on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Local AI inference runs through Ollama by default, with LM Studio as an alternative backend, both serving open-source models on the user's own hardware. Obsidian is a multi-platform note-taking and writing app. Simple enough. But aren't there plenty of those around? Yes absolutely, but they each have downsides that I wasn't able to settle with long-term. With Google Cloud it was the difficult of linking between notes (this has improved since but it's still not quite what I want).
