The thing that I personally like about Evernote is that before I have used word as my note taking application, than on my smartphone I have had used Google Keep and so my notes were just unorganized mess. But with Evernote now I can have my notes at one place and unified. Also the fact that I can log to another device and my notes are "just there" is really nice. And also I like graphics user interface of Evernote.

Obsidian is a multi-platform note-taking and writing app. Simple enough. But aren't there plenty of those around? Yes absolutely, but they each have downsides that I wasn't able to settle with long-term. With Google Cloud it was the difficult of linking between notes (this has improved since but it's still not quite what I want). As a hobbyist, I have had a good experience using EasyEDA [0]. It's free to use, with the caveat that you are pretty locked in to their PCB ordering service from China. a bunch of pcb manfacturing places have their own layout software which may or may not suite your needs. E.g. JLCPCB is a very good board manufacturer (and cheap to boot), and their EasyEDA software looks sane. Digikey has SnapEDA etc. Source: over 3 years ago
It depends how good your electronics are or whether you're willing to invest time into learning PCB design. The capacitor's values can be found using an LCR meter, it will be a bit fiddly and you'll want to remove them from the flex PCB before testing. LCR meter can be picked up cheap on Amazon.
