The thing that I personally like about Evernote is that before I have used word as my note taking application, than on my smartphone I have had used Google Keep and so my notes were just unorganized mess. But with Evernote now I can have my notes at one place and unified. Also the fact that I can log to another device and my notes are "just there" is really nice. And also I like graphics user interface of Evernote.

Obsidian is a multi-platform note-taking and writing app. Simple enough. But aren't there plenty of those around? Yes absolutely, but they each have downsides that I wasn't able to settle with long-term. With Google Cloud it was the difficult of linking between notes (this has improved since but it's still not quite what I want). It seems the feature is a bit more hidden than it used to be, but try going to https://bing.com/maps on a desktop browser (not mobile), and right-clicking somewhere on the map. You will hopefully see the "View bird's eye" option. (If you can't see the option for your location, test with London first - it's definitely available there). Source: about 4 years ago
