The thing that I personally like about Evernote is that before I have used word as my note taking application, than on my smartphone I have had used Google Keep and so my notes were just unorganized mess. But with Evernote now I can have my notes at one place and unified. Also the fact that I can log to another device and my notes are "just there" is really nice. And also I like graphics user interface of Evernote.

Obsidian is a multi-platform note-taking and writing app. Simple enough. But aren't there plenty of those around? Yes absolutely, but they each have downsides that I wasn't able to settle with long-term. With Google Cloud it was the difficult of linking between notes (this has improved since but it's still not quite what I want). Ctrl-X Ctrl-L is line based completion, see :help CTRL-X_CTRL-L for details. :help ins-completion gets the useful docs, Vim's own docs are very good and worth spending some time learning how to use, so you can learn Vim itself better. Another favorite of mine is 'gf' to open the filename under the cursor, very useful combined with ^X ^F. FWIW, I still use regular vim with ale [0] and it does everything I want. It formats files with Black and isort, shows ruff and pyright errors, supports jumping to definitions, and has variable information available on hover.
