  • Mac Software for Cataloguing External Hard Disks?
I found Disk Catalog Maker but it's not free. I also found VVV (Virtual Volumes View), which seems to be FOSS. I may try VVV. This is something I never thought to do but may be handy. Source: 10 months ago
  • Uncounted drives
DiskCatalogMaker works alright and is for OS X. Paid proprietary software, though, which sucks. Source: about 1 year ago

Another option is to use something like https://www.wincatalog.com/disk-catalog-maker.html on pc or https://diskcatalogmaker.com/ on mac. They give you a searchable list of files on your drives whether they're plugged in or not. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • [META] Can we add a section on the wiki with useful apps?
DiskCatalogMaker: I use it to catalog all of our external hard-drives, so I can search for specific projects or files without the need to connect them. I have a general view of all the drives and I can search through all of them easily. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Native BRAW Support in Final Cut Pro!
Exciting Times! Lots of very smart developers told me it would be impossible to add BRAW support to #FCPX. Lots told me it would be impossible to do it on the App Store. However 131 days later - here we are! Https://brawtoolbox.io Https://gyroflowtoolbox.io Https://commandpost.io. Source: over 1 year ago

However, I am working in Adobe 99% of the time. I have not spent much time with Command Post but I sense that it is a hill I have neither the time nor technical knowhow to climb. So I'm curious if there's anything else out there that is close to the feel and has inertia like the Speed Editor, that is easy to work with/has some low level integration with Premiere. I will say, when I have to use the apple Magic... Source: over 1 year ago
  • No board is safe from modding.
I can confirm that CommandPost works! I tried it out today and while it took me a few minutes of tweaking the settings, now the Speed Editor is fully rebindable in any app in MacOS either using keyboard shortcuts or menu iteums. It take a little getting used to the CommandPost interface, but once you’ve mapped everything, you don’t have to use it unless you want to make changes. My major issue is that there’s no... • is there a way for the playhead to always be visible?
CommandPost can do that for you, but it might be a bit wonky: https://commandpost.io. Source: about 2 years ago
  • [META] Can we add a section on the wiki with useful apps?
CommandPost - Plug-in suite for Premiere and FCPX primarily for using control surfaces. Mainly I’ve used this to enable scrolling timeline on FCPX but I’m sure there’s so much more to discover in this app. Source: about 2 years ago
