  • Should I invest in Final Cut Pro?
And for all the people who say DaVinci is far better for colour grading than FCP: yes, true. But once you get Color Finale 2 (https://colorfinale.com/), that point becomes moot. The magnetic timeline is just unbeatable for efficiency, and also the media management/workflow is so much better with FCP. And I paid for FCP over ten years ago, it has paid for itself many times over. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Native BRAW Support in Final Cut Pro!
Exciting Times! Lots of very smart developers told me it would be impossible to add BRAW support to #FCPX. Lots told me it would be impossible to do it on the App Store. I tried it out today and while it took me a few minutes of tweaking the settings, now the Speed Editor is fully rebindable in any app in MacOS either using keyboard shortcuts or menu iteums. It take a little getting used to the CommandPost interface, but once you’ve mapped everything, you don’t have to use it unless you want to make changes. My major issue is that there’s no... • is there a way for the playhead to always be visible?
CommandPost can do that for you, but it might be a bit wonky: https://commandpost.io. Source: about 3 years ago
  • [META] Can we add a section on the wiki with useful apps?
CommandPost - Plug-in suite for Premiere and FCPX primarily for using control surfaces. Mainly I’ve used this to enable scrolling timeline on FCPX but I’m sure there’s so much more to discover in this app. Source: about 3 years ago
