Downie is a versatile downloader, now in its 4th generation. It can be used as a browser plugin, allowing you to download almost anything from the web. For instance, if you find an interesting video online and want to watch it repeatedly, just click the Downie icon in the top-left corner of your browser, select the video you want to download, and it will start downloading immediately. Definitely don’t use any of those screen recording apps - that’s just brute forcing it, you’re reencoding the content and losing a ton of video and audio quality. Any embedded video online (unless is uses DRM, which is not this case) can be extracted and downloaded in original quality. If you’re on a Mac, I strongly recommend using Downie, it’s a great piece of software. https://software.charliemonroe.net/downie/... Source: almost 2 years ago

Though it’s for downloading videos and not screen capping DRM videos, I can’t recommend Downie enough. Source: about 2 years ago

However, I am working in Adobe 99% of the time. I have not spent much time with Command Post but I sense that it is a hill I have neither the time nor technical knowhow to climb. So I'm curious if there's anything else out there that is close to the feel and has inertia like the Speed Editor, that is easy to work with/has some low level integration with Premiere. I will say, when I have to use the apple Magic... Source: over 2 years ago
I can confirm that CommandPost works! I tried it out today and while it took me a few minutes of tweaking the settings, now the Speed Editor is fully rebindable in any app in MacOS either using keyboard shortcuts or menu iteums. It take a little getting used to the CommandPost interface, but once you’ve mapped everything, you don’t have to use it unless you want to make changes. My major issue is that there’s no... CommandPost can do that for you, but it might be a bit wonky: https://commandpost.io. Source: about 3 years ago
CommandPost - Plug-in suite for Premiere and FCPX primarily for using control surfaces. Mainly I’ve used this to enable scrolling timeline on FCPX but I’m sure there’s so much more to discover in this app. Source: about 3 years ago
