IssueCapture is a drop-in JavaScript widget that lets website visitors report bugs directly into Jira Software and Jira Service Management. One script tag, five minutes to set up.
Users get a floating button on your site. They click it, describe the bug, annotate a screenshot, and a detailed Jira ticket is created automatically with console errors, network failures, browser info, and page URL included.
AI features handle triage, categorization, duplicate detection, and sentiment analysis โ so developers get well-organized tickets instead of vague "it doesn't work" reports.
Built with Preact and Shadow DOM for zero CSS conflicts with host pages. Core widget is 40KB gzipped with lazy-loaded screenshot (+13KB) and annotation (+107KB). 16 languages supported.
Works with team-managed projects โ unlike Atlassian's Issue Collector. No per-seat pricing, unlimited team members on every plan.

IssueCapture's answer:
It captures console errors and network failures automatically from page load โ not just after the widget opens. Most bug reporters miss the errors that actually caused the problem. It also runs in Shadow DOM so it never conflicts with the host page's CSS.
IssueCapture's answer:
Development teams using Jira who need a better way to collect bug reports from website users, QA testers, or internal stakeholders. Typically engineering leads, QA managers, or project managers who are tired of vague bug reports with no context.
IssueCapture's answer:
No per-seat pricing โ unlimited team members on every plan. Starts at $29/mo vs $199/mo for Marker.io. Works with both Jira Software and JSM, including team-managed projects. AI triage and duplicate detection built in rather than bolted on.
IssueCapture's answer:
Atlassian's Issue Collector hasn't been updated since 2014. No screenshot tools, no AI, doesn't work with team-managed projects. Thousands of Jira teams had no good option for collecting bug reports from their websites, so I built one.
IssueCapture's answer:
Preact and TypeScript for the widget, Next.js for the dashboard, Supabase (PostgreSQL + pgvector) for the database, Vercel for hosting, Google Gemini for AI features with OpenAI as fallback.
Based on our record, IssueCapture seems to be more popular. It has been mentiond 3 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Three things burned me building a Jira integration for IssueCapture that the official docs don't warn you about: ADF for descriptions, refresh token rotation, and cloud_id discovery. What I expected to be a two-day integration took considerably longer. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
At IssueCapture โ a drop-in widget that sends bug reports directly into Jira โ we hit this wall faster than expected. Account management, API keys, analytics, Jira OAuth, payments, AI processing, widget submission, system utilities, admin operations. That's already eight distinct domains before you've split anything out. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
When we built IssueCapture โ a bug-reporting widget that injects into your customers' production sites โ bundle size wasn't a nice-to-have. It was a hard constraint. Nobody gives you a second chance if your widget adds 300KB to their LCP. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
