CapMonster Cloud is a cloud CAPTCHA-solving platform designed for teams that need dependable, high-throughput automation. It provides a developer-friendly REST/WebSocket API, ready-to-use libraries (C#, Python, JS, Go, PHP) and browser extensions so you can integrate solving into apps, bots or testing flows in minutes.
The service supports a broad set of CAPTCHA types โ and advertises solution success rates up to ~99% for common types, making it suitable for production-scale scraping, automated testing and workflow automation.
Pricing is transparent and usage-based: you pay per successfully solved CAPTCHA (proxy included in price for many flows), with volume bonuses and affiliate options for partners. This model helps control costs for high-volume use cases while keeping billing predictable.
CapMonster Cloud emphasizes stability, scalability and quick onboarding (code examples, SDKs and demos), plus customer reviews and industry trust signals that highlight speed, accuracy and responsive support โ a strong fit for SaaS vendors, data teams, QA/automation engineers and developer-led projects that require reliable CAPTCHA handling.

CapMonster Cloud's answer:
CapMonster Cloud is a cloud-based CAPTCHA solving service that combines high recognition accuracy, low latency, and a developer-friendly API. It supports a wide range of CAPTCHA types, offers flexible pricing, and scales easily for high-volume usage with ready-made SDKs and integrations.
CapMonster Cloud's answer:
Because it delivers an excellent speed/accuracy balance for bulk CAPTCHA solving, is simple to integrate (REST API, WebSocket, official SDKs), provides transparent pricing and reliable infrastructure, and includes a user-friendly dashboard with request monitoring
CapMonster Cloud's answer:
Our primary audience consists of SEO specialists, data parsing developers, automation (RPA) experts, marketers, and researchers who need to reliably bypass captchas in large volumes to automate their workflows.
CapMonster Cloud's answer:
The product was born out of necessity: a development team facing limits in existing CAPTCHA solutions built an internal, faster, and more accurate solver. That in-house tool evolved into a cloud product with a scalable architecture and easy integration paths so other teams can move from prototype to production quickly.
CapMonster Cloud's answer:
I've been using CapMonster Cloud for a little over a year now, mainly for number-based captchas. The flow on my side is straightforward: I send the image to the API, the universal module processes it, and the answer comes back within a couple of seconds. What I appreciate most is the API itself. The setup is very simple, one call to create a task and one to retrieve the result, and the documentation is clear with working examples for the main languages, so getting started took almost no time. The dashboard is also convenient, you can easily track balance usage and see how many requests were sent and how many solves came back successful, which makes it easy to monitor everything at a glance. Overall the service runs quietly in the background and handles its part of the work reliably, which is exactly what I needed.
Tested several CAPTCHA solving services and CapMonster Cloud offers the best combination of low cost and reliability. Haven't had any failed solves yet, and the pricing beats most competitors significantly. Easy API integration and fast response times. If you need bulk CAPTCHA solving, this is the most cost-effective option I've found.
Iโve been using CapMonster Cloud for months to automate tasks like data scraping and SEO tools, and itโs been a huge time-saver. What stands out is its speedโit solves even tricky captchas (like image grids or distorted text) in just seconds. Setting it up was surprisingly easy: I added a few lines of code to my scripts via their API, and it worked right away. Before, Iโd waste hours solving captchas manually; now everything runs smoothly in the background.
The pricing is fair tooโway cheaper than other services Iโve tried, especially with their pay-as-you-go model. No subscriptions, no surprises.
Verdict: If youโre tired of captchas slowing down your work, give CapMonster Cloud a shot. Itโs reliable, fast, and just gets the job done.

> I dislike Dropbox for reasons that aren't technical, but the big thing for me is that I want either E2EE, or control/ownership of where my data is stored. You could run something like Cryptomator on top of Dropbox: https://cryptomator.org/ It even has (paid) iOS and Android apps for mobile access. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
This is Nice. However, how do one access their diary, when you stopped maintaining it? Is this targeted more at the technically inclined, high-profile people who need to keep secrets? Personally, I believe that for something like a diary/journal, it should be in a format easily readable by most tools (so a Plain-Text or a MarkDown at best), then it is in a container/folder. Now, encrypt that container/folder... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
If you still want/need cloud storage, but don't want to roll your own (with the warts that brings), Cryptomator is an excellent tool for source encrypting your data before uploading them. It works transparently, and has clients for Mac/Windows as well as iOS/Android. It's also open source, and "free" (IIRC there's a one time fee for the mobile client). https://cryptomator.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago

While I get the whole homelab thing is exiting and a great learning experience, it's simply not worth the time and effort for the majority of people. You will end up paying much more for your services, along with spending a ton of time maintaining it (and if you don't, you will probably find yourself on the end of a 0-day hack sometime).
