I find that reflecting on my experiences and going out of my way to really analyze the pitfalls and things done correctly helps a lot. There are other projects like minds.com which is also starting to catch some attention. My biggest concern is that the big tech companies catch these trends and start to more actively censor their search results or in other way hinder their growth such as lobbying for stricter regulation to take out any competition.
