I find that reflecting on my experiences and going out of my way to really analyze the pitfalls and things done correctly helps a lot. I normally use coggle.it to mind map the whole experience overview and then which elements of the project seemed to be improvements and which parts where potentially poorly executed. If I could only pick one, it would be Dynalist [0]. I know it's essentially just another webapp (with mobile apps) for writing lists, but for some reason is the first one I actually found myself using, both at work and personally.
