Codewars
AbeBooksCodewars is recommended for beginner to advanced programmers who enjoy learning through practice and are interested in improving their algorithmic thinking and coding skills in a gamified environment. It is particularly beneficial for those preparing for coding interviews or seeking to reinforce their programming knowledge in a fun and interactive way.
Codewars might be a bit more popular than AbeBooks. We know about 160 links to it since March 2021 and only 132 links to AbeBooks. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Recently, I was working on a coding kata on codewars.com. Early on, I started thinking that a potential solution might utilize recursion, a concept that involves a function calling itself. However, I quickly realized that my grasp of recursion was not as solid as it needed to be for this task. In this post, I will share the insights gained from deepening my understanding of recursion while working through the kata. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
Get more involved. Look into internships and junior SWE positions to get a sample of what you'd be applying for once you graduate. Solve coding challenges, start working on a portfolio of your personal works. I recommend codewars.com for coding challenges, it's fun. Source: over 2 years ago
I'd recommend to play around with some basic coding challenges on leetcode.com or codewars.com. If the course prepared you well you won't find this useful, but playing around with them will make sure that you are comfortable with basics such as loops, if statements etc. Source: almost 3 years ago
I would advise for you to start with Python, it's a beginner-friendly programming language and it'll help with wrapping your mind around things. Play around with it, perhaps do some katas on CodeWars and you'll be set. Source: about 3 years ago
There is a website called codewars.com where you can select problems of varying difficulty for the language you need. It is very helpful for learning. Source: about 3 years ago
Have you not searched for used book sites? There are so many and you can definitely get the size of paperback you want at usually good prices. Eg betterworldbooks.com wob.com, abebooks.com etc etc. Source: over 2 years ago
New Directions for Strings Teacher's Manual Book 2 [Soft Cover ] ($29.75 on abebooks.com because on Amazon it was like $40 something I think). Source: almost 3 years ago
Hi - my 2 primary sites to find publications are amazon.com and abebooks.com. I've found used copies of reference books on both sites. Since I collect Australia, I also watch the Australian auction site. I've found some great books in auctions. Of course, the shipping sometimes is more than the book. I also use eBay, but for some reason, the publications I look for are not as commonly found there. Source: almost 3 years ago
Found an old hardcover 1980 edition of this on abebooks.com ran me just under $15 total shipped from Germany! I'm mainly interested in better info on the 1800's coins, which I'm guessing was pretty well sorted by 1980, so should still be a good extra resource to have. Source: about 3 years ago
A lot of my money's gone to abebooks.com now that I can stay focussed all the way through a book. Source: about 3 years ago
