I’m a 58-year-old creator who got tired of guessing why my videos were flopping. Unlike generic analytics dashboards, my tools use deep AI analysis and metadata scraping to tell you why you're struggling and what to do to fix it, not just that you're struggling.

Whether it's the Shadowban Checker that tests search visibility in real-time and also gives you a valuable plain English explanation of your stats, or the Violation Forensics tool that explains exactly which community guideline you accidentally tripped, this suite is designed for creators who want the data-driven, unvarnished truth. It’s not about hype; it’s about fixing your account so you can actually make money.

It’s for the creators who are serious about building their accounts organically and need to understand how the algorithm works. My tools are especially well suited for TikTok Shop Affiliates and business-minded creators who rely on their account for income!

If you're just posting cat videos for fun, you don't need me. But if you're trying to qualify for the Affiliate program, stuck in the "200-view jail," or trying to figure out why your product video got flagged for a "Commercial Policy Violation," you are the reason I built these tools.

Basically, I build for the people who treat content creation as a job and can't afford to have the algorithm inexplicably shut them down.

What's the story behind your product?

It started with a generic "Violation" notice and a lot of confusion.

Back in February 2025, I was grinding to qualify for the TikTok Shop Affiliate program. When I finally qualified, I’d then spend hours creating and editing a 30 second video, only to have it flop or get flagged with zero explanation. I looked for tools to explain why, but all I found were expensive dashboards showing me vanity metrics I already knew.

I’m 58. I hadn’t written a line of PHP since the 90s. But I was frustrated enough to try. I fired up an AI coding assistant and decided to build a simple script to analyse my video metadata.

That "simple script" spiralled into a fully blown obsession. I have spent 6 months "Vibe Coding"—battling with API documentation, learning modern architecture, and writing over 8,000 lines of code to build the tools I wished I had on Day 1. GrumpyGit isn't a VC-backed startup; it’s the result of one stubborn old git refusing to let an algorithm beat him.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

The core is a custom WordPress plugin built on a "Hub & Spoke" architecture using PHP. I didn't want the bloat of modern frameworks, so the frontend is clean, vanilla JavaScript and CSS.

The real magic happens in the integrations: I use Google's Gemini 2.5 API (Flash & Pro models) for the intelligence layer, utilizing a custom "double-failover" system I built to manage costs. For the raw data, I rely on Apify actors to handle the heavy lifting of TikTok metadata extraction, with everything cached in custom MySQL tables to keep it fast.
