Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing CastFox.net and GitHub.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

CastFox.net's answer

Next.js, Node.js, Express, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenAI

What makes your product unique?

CastFox.net's answer

CastFox is the only podcast intelligence platform that searches actual episode content using AI transcription across 114M+ episodes , not just titles and descriptions. It also uniquely combines YouTube channel analytics, AI-generated Web Presence reports, and an in-app AI Pitch Wizard into a single platform. No competitor offers all of these together.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

CastFox.net's answer

CastFox gives you more data for free than competitors charge hundreds per month for. All search, analytics, contacts, and PodcastGPT are free forever. Competitors like Rephonic charge $99-$299/month for basic analytics, and Podchaser Pro costs $2,500-$5,000/year. CastFox also offers features no competitor has: AI content search, YouTube analytics linked to podcast profiles, and batch pitching with AI-generated emails.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

CastFox.net's answer

Media buyers and ad agencies finding podcasts to advertise on, PR agencies booking guest appearances for clients, brand marketers monitoring industry conversations across podcasts, authors and speakers looking for shows to promote their work, and podcast creators analyzing competition and growth opportunities.

What's the story behind your product?

CastFox.net's answer

CastFox was built out of frustration with how hard it was to find the right podcasts for marketing campaigns. Every existing tool only searched titles and categories, missing the vast majority of relevant shows. We built an AI engine that searches what hosts actually say across 114M+ episodes, then added the analytics, contacts, and outreach tools needed to go from discovery to signed deal in one platform.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

CastFox.net's answer

  • PR agencies managing multi-client podcast outreach
  • Media buying teams at DTC brands
  • Authors and speakers booking podcast guest appearances
  • Podcast networks analyzing competitive landscape

However, like any (human) product, the platform has its limits, downsides, and critics. GitHub has been barred by certain governments, and even if that isnโ€™t exactly the companyโ€™s fault, the users are the ones limited from pushing their code. • Short-Circuit Your Agent Evals: Tier Order Is a Latency Budget, Not a Preference
This is why the gate needs a trace it can trust, and why AgentLens is the other half of this workflow. agent-eval scores and gates the output; AgentLens captures the trace of how the agent got there โ€” every model call and tool step, the resolved inputs (not the templated ones), the raw outputs. That trace is exactly the unforgeable, agent-didn't-author substrate that Tier 1+2 need to score against. Without it,... - Source: dev.to / 3 days ago
