I love any opportunity to suggest people try out Brogue. It was developed with the idea "What would have happened if development continued on Rogue?" I enjoyed it, though for my taste it was maybe a little too simplistic and easy. The original rogue is before my time, but at one point I got very hooked on [brogue](https://sites.google.com/site/broguegame/) and this reminded me very much of that. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
I believe the original author of most of this content was Brian Walker, creator of brogue, which uses Dijkstra maps to great effect. WSGI and ASGI have a lot of overhead, that's is why I choose not to use them in the first place, but adding an ASGI and WSGI server allows a lot of code already written to run faster!
