Verid is an API-first change monitoring platform for developers and operators. Point it at any URL, define what to extract with CSS selectors, XPath, JSONPath, regex, or AI and Verid checks it on your schedule, down to every 5 minutes. Unlike visual-diff tools that alert on any pixel change, Verid tracks the fields you care about. Set predicates like "notify me when price drops more than 5%" or "when stock changes from out to in," and ignore everything else. When a change matches, Verid delivers it as structured JSON through signed webhooks with automatic retries, a dead-letter queue, and one-click replay — plus email, Slack, and Discord. Every paid plan includes the full REST API, all extraction methods, and all delivery channels; higher tiers add capacity, not held-back features. Use it to track competitor prices, job listings, product stock, regulatory pages, or any page that matters — via a simple URL-paste form or config-as-code. Start free with 5 monitors, no credit card required.

Analysis of Verid.dev

Overall verdict

  • Verid.dev appears to be a niche identity verification/developer-focused tool, but there is limited independent, verifiable information available about its track record, security practices, and customer support quality, so it should be evaluated carefully before adopting it for production use.

Why this product is good

  • Positions itself as a developer-friendly identity verification solution, which may offer simpler integration than larger enterprise providers
  • May offer competitive or flexible pricing compared to established identity verification platforms
  • Could provide a lightweight API suited for smaller projects or startups needing basic verification features
  • Limited public reviews or third-party audits make it hard to fully validate security, compliance, and reliability claims

Recommended for

  • Developers or startups seeking a simple, low-cost identity verification API for small-scale projects
  • Teams comfortable testing newer or less-established tools and conducting their own due diligence
  • Non-critical applications where extensive compliance certifications (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR audits) are not strictly required
  • Users who prioritize ease of integration over the extensive track record of larger identity verification providers

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Bright Data and Verid.dev.

What's the story behind your product?

Verid.dev's answer:

Verid was born from a gap that I had faced while working on another product of mine that is: existing change-monitoring tools are visual-diff first and built for non-technical users, while scraping APIs are stateless one-shot tools with no scheduling or diffing. Developers who wanted "tell me when this specific field changes, via a signed webhook" had to glue together cron jobs, scrapers, and notification code themselves. Verid packages that whole pipeline, scheduled checks, structured extraction, field-level diffing, and reliable delivery into one product.

What makes your product unique?

Verid.dev's answer:

Verid is extraction-first, not visual-diff first. Instead of alerting when a page looks different, it extracts the exact fields you care about — with CSS, XPath, JSONPath, regex, or AI and fires only when your condition is met, like "price dropped more than 5%" or "stock changed from out to in." Changes arrive as structured JSON through signed webhooks with automatic retries, a dead-letter queue, and replay. No other change-monitoring tool combines field-level alert conditions with developer-grade webhook delivery.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Verid.dev's answer:

Three reasons. First, structured output: you get JSON like {"price": 49.99, "stock": "in_stock"}, not a screenshot or an AI summary you have to parse. Second, no feature gating: every paid plan includes the full REST API, signed webhooks, Slack/Discord delivery, and all extraction methods higher tiers add capacity, not previously-withheld features, so there's no pricing surprise when you need API access or a second delivery channel. Third, reliable delivery: webhooks are HMAC-signed, retried with exponential backoff, and replayable from the dashboard.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Verid.dev's answer:

Developers and technical teams who want change monitoring as infrastructure, an API, webhooks, and config-as-code. Second, operators who don't code: indie hackers, e-commerce founders, marketers, and researchers tracking competitor prices, job listings, stock levels, or regulatory pages through a simple URL-paste form and a templates gallery.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Verid.dev's answer:

TypeScript end to end. Next.js and React power the dashboard and REST API, a Node.js worker fleet handles scheduled checks with BullMQ job queues on Redis, Playwright drives real headless-browser rendering for JavaScript-heavy pages, and PostgreSQL stores monitors, run history, and diffs.

    Mixed feelings

We used their DC proxies and Residential proxies. Resi proxies were having quite low success rate. We had to use resi solution from other proxy providers. Unblocker didn't work well either also it was way too expensive.

    Competitors: Decodo, NetNut.io
    Pros:    Cheap dc proxies
Cons:    Quite expensive|Residential proxies are worse than competitiors

And if there’s one thing that defines Bright Data in an industry where all gaps are closing, it’s the platform. We’ve criticized it for complexity and opaqueness; but after all these years, we have to admit that Bright Data’s tooling remains a north star for many providers aspiring to serve the most demanding clients.

The best web scraping tools 2026 leaderboard hasn't changed; the gap has narrowed. Bright Data remains the safest bet for any team that wants to spend time on the data, not on the scraping.
