While there are monetization options available, setting up and maximizing these opportunities can be complex and might require further understanding beyond basic usage.
  • Platform Dependency

  • Compatibility Issues
Some users have reported compatibility issues with specific third-party applications or plugins, requiring additional troubleshooting effort.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Bloopbot and StreamElements.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Bloopbot's answer

Choose Bloopbot if you want your bot to do exactly what you have in mind rather than what a settings form allows. Chat commands, alerts, OBS overlays, song requests, loyalty points, giveaways and go-live posts all live in one place and can be connected to each other. Moving over is easy: import your commands from Nightbot or StreamElements and each one becomes a flow you can edit. The Free plan includes every feature that costs nothing to run, and Plus and Pro add more flows, editors and AI features.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Bloopbot's answer

Twitch streamers who want more from their chat bot, from people just starting out who need a few commands and alerts working quickly, to streamers who want to build their own custom chains of events, overlays and viewer games.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Bloopbot's answer

TypeScript on Node.js, with PostgreSQL, Redis and NATS behind it, running on Kubernetes (k3s). It talks to Twitch through EventSub and the Helix API. Overlays use PixiJS, Phaser and three.js, and payments run on Stripe.

What makes your product unique?

Bloopbot's answer

Every behaviour in Bloopbot is a visual flow: a trigger, optional checks and actions, drawn in your browser. Other Twitch bots give you a fixed list of features, each with its own settings form. In Bloopbot a command, an alert, a timer and a giveaway are all the same kind of thing, so you can read exactly what each one does and change any part of it. Simple things stay simple through templates and ready-made packs, and you can grow them into your own chain of events without switching tools.
