I'm still happy with Apple Notes for its integration with all of Apple Apps, easy sharing with family members, etc. I have tamed it more as an ephemeral and quick Notes App. The notes that starts there are usually transferred to a more permanent and organized Plain-Text setup[1] (currently guardian-ed by Obsidian). I'm also still trying out Write! Which was recommended here on this sub a while ago. It has a cloud so I can open it from all my computers, but sadly not from mobile. But I only use mobile for jotting down notes, anyway, so I use Docs for that. What I like about Write!
