How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Tasklans's answer:

Freelancers and small teams (up to 10 people) who manage several client projects at once and need time tracking and client visibility without per-seat pricing.

What makes your product unique?

Tasklans's answer:

Time tracking, a client role and real-time collaboration are all in the free plan, and pricing is per workspace rather than per seat. Most tools in this space charge per user and keep time tracking behind paid tiers; Tasklans is built around the way a freelancer actually works: a few client projects at once, a timer on every task, and clients who want to see progress without a paid seat.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Tasklans's answer:

If you run client projects and pay per seat for people who only check the board once a week, Tasklans removes that cost: the free plan includes 10 users, 10 projects and 10 clients, and Pro will be priced per workspace with up to 10 people included. Kanban, timer, work logs and client access live in one tool instead of three, and every change lands in real time. Invoicing is a Pro feature and opens when paid plans launch

What's the story behind your product?

Tasklans's answer:

I'm Alex, a freelance developer from Slovakia. I built Tasklans because running three or four client projects meant a board in one tool, a timer in another and a spreadsheet for invoices - and every one of them charged per seat, even for a client who only wanted to see progress. Tasklans puts Kanban, time tracking, client access and invoicing in one place and is priced per workspace, not per seat.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Tasklans's answer:

Laravel 12, Inertia + React (migrating off Livewire page by page), Laravel Reverb for WebSockets, MySQL, Redis, Docker, on our own servers - a plain VPS, not a hyperscaler.
