Markdown Web Clipper is a free, open-source Chrome extension that converts any webpage to clean Markdown โ code blocks, tables, math, and footnotes survive intact โ and saves it where you keep your notes: a local folder (including an Obsidian vault), GitHub Gist, or the clipboard. Local-first: no account, no cloud, no telemetry. Images are saved alongside the file. Works with any app that reads Markdown files โ Obsidian, Logseq, Joplin, Google NotebookLM.

Markdown Web Clipper's answer:
Fidelity and ownership. Code blocks, tables, math, and footnotes survive conversion intact, images are saved next to the file, and everything lands as plain Markdown files on your own disk โ a local folder, an Obsidian vault, a Gist, or the clipboard. No account, no cloud, no telemetry. Free and MIT-licensed.
Markdown Web Clipper's answer:
Honest answer: most clippers convert HTML similarly these days. The differences are in what happens after โ this one saves images locally, writes straight into a local folder or Obsidian vault with YAML frontmatter, works without an account, and the optional Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. If you need mobile capture or a full read-later ecosystem, a hosted service will fit better; if you want your clips as files you own, that's exactly what this is for.
Markdown Web Clipper's answer:
People who live in Markdown: Obsidian and Logseq users, developers, researchers, and anyone piping web content into LLMs โ clipping a selection as Markdown is far more token-efficient than screenshots.
Markdown Web Clipper's answer:
I built it because every clipper I tried either mangled code blocks and tables or wanted to keep my articles in its cloud. After Pocket shut down and MarkDownload disappeared in Chrome's Manifest V2 purge, "your notes should be plain files you own" stopped being a preference and became a requirement. It's open source (MIT) and the core is free forever.
Markdown Web Clipper's answer:
TypeScript and React on Manifest V3, built with WXT. Extraction uses Defuddle, HTMLโMarkdown conversion is Turndown with GFM plus math/footnote handling, and the built-in editor is CodeMirror 6. Conversion runs entirely in your browser โ no server involved.
As a writer, I've been using Basecamp for a few years now and I must say, it has been a game-changer for me. Basecamp is a cloud-based project management tool that offers a suite of features to help teams collaborate efficiently and effectively.
I started using Basecamp as a project management tool to manage my writing projects. Initially, I found it a bit overwhelming, but with time I got used to the interface and the features. Basecamp has a clean and intuitive design that makes it easy to use. The dashboard is well-organized and shows all the active projects and tasks at a glance. Basecamp has a variety of features that make it easy to manage tasks, track progress, communicate with team members, and share files.
Based on our record, Basecamp seems to be more popular. It has been mentiond 40 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
One implementation note that cost me a wrong result: URL predicates need tighter clause boundaries than entity mentions do. Split on sentence punctuation only, and "ๅนถๆฒกๆๆจๅบไธญๆๅฎ็ฝ๏ผๅ ถไธป่ฆๅฎ็ฝๆฏ https://basecamp.com" flags that URL as negated โ but the negation targets the Chinese site and the URL is being affirmed, one comma later. Splitting on commas as well fixed it: zero false flags across 1,416 URLs, and 74 genuine... - Source: dev.to / 12 days ago

37 Signals [0] famously uses their own Stimulus [1] framework on most of their products. Their CEO is a proponent of the whole no-build approach because of the additional complexity it adds, and because it makes it difficult for people to pop your code and learn from it. Remote work is an established term these days, but back in the days i.e. Prior to COVID or a few more years back, this term was quite alien in the developer community. Even though there were organizations like Basecamp which were working remotely for more than 20 years, the developer ecosystem was not built around the concept of working remotely or to put it in simple words, separately from your colleagues. Just... - Source: dev.to / almost 3 years ago
It's interesting, I've sampled basecamp.com and the number was 35 too, very similar variables, taking into consideration Basecamp is Older than Hey and heavily flex-box oriented. Source: about 3 years ago
