I do like what I see and hear about backtrader.com. I would say they are a notable exception to my general rule of not trusting or using backtesting frameworks. However, I still think it is important to understand how the framework you are using works. I'm a huge supporter for TDD(Test Driven Development). Almost every piece code should be tested. During my co-op more than half of the time I spent writing test for my PR.
