What makes your product unique?

Automix's answer

Automix is an AI mixing tool, not just an AI mastering tool. Most AI audio services only master a finished stereo file, while Automix mixes up to 32 individual stems, applying EQ, compression, panning and dynamics to each track to build a balanced mix. Automix Pro then exports the result as a DAW-ready project for Ableton Live, Bitwig Studio or Fender Studio, with every processing decision visible and editable in native plugins. A Mix Report explains what Automix did and why, so producers can learn from each mix rather than receiving a black-box result.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Automix's answer

Automix is powered by TonnSDK, RoEx's own audio engine combining machine learning with digital signal processing, built on mixing research from Queen Mary University of London. The same technology runs the Tonn API, which has processed over 8 million tracks to date. Automix analyses each stem and makes per-track decisions on level, panning, EQ, compression and dynamics, with processing running either in the cloud or locally in Automix Desktop.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Automix's answer

Choose Automix if you want help with the mix itself, not just the final polish. Mastering tools like LANDR and eMastered can only work with a finished stereo track, so they cannot fix problems between instruments. Automix works at stem level, and because the output opens as an editable DAW project, you keep full creative control instead of being locked into a stereo file. Automix Desktop can also process everything locally on your own machine, so your stems never have to be uploaded. Free previews let you hear the mix before paying.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Automix is built for independent musicians, bedroom producers, songwriters and content creators who want a professional-sounding mix without years of engineering experience or the cost of hiring a mix engineer. It is also used by experienced producers who want a fast, balanced starting point they can refine in their DAW, and by artists looking to remix or rescue live and archived recordings.

What's the story behind your product?

Automix's answer

Automix grew out of a PhD project at Queen Mary University of London's Centre for Digital Music, researching how machine learning and signal processing could automate multitrack mixing. RoEx was founded in London by CEO David Ronan, alongside Professor Josh Reiss, to turn that research into tools for creators. Post launch Automix has expanded from the web to a desktop app that runs locally, with DAW export for Ableton Live, Bitwig Studio and Fender Studio.

Automix's creators RoEx also created Mix Check Studio. A platform that gives you actionable feedback on your audio mixes and masters and enables you to fix issues found in your tracks with the Mastering+ feature. RoEx's suite of intelligent audio tools are integrated into leading music and entertainment platforms through API and SDK integrations.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Companies including UnitedMasters, Music.AI and Boombox integrate RoEx's audio technology directly into their services. RoEx also has partnerships with Yamaha, Amuse, un:hurd music, Ditto Music, ASCAP and BMI - where their artists are given exclusive access to Automix and Mix Check Studio.
