I've use it instead of Firebase on a 15$ DigitalOcean droplet and saved around ~$150 a month. Managing my own infra does take some extra time, but definitely worth it. The APIs and SDK are also surprisingly much easier to consume than Firebase. Waiting for the cloud version.

Initially, I was using the Supabase free tier, but I was hitting the limits, and my app was becoming stale. Then I switched to Appwrite. On Linux, the more direct equivalent to AHK is the similarly named AutoKey. AHK itself is never going to be cross-platform, due to the low-level it interacts specifically with Windows, but AutoKey is the Linux equivalent, designed to interact low-level with Linux in a similar way to AHK on Windows. You can also try remapping mouse buttons. I use autohotkey to remap the middle clock to the right click. Autohotkey is windows only, but there is autokey which might help if you are a heavy middle click user like me. Source: over 3 years ago
