Possible disadvantages of AnonFeedback

  • Potential for abuse
The anonymous nature of the platform means it can be misused for sending hurtful, toxic, or unconstructive messages, with no accountability for the person providing the feedback.
  • Limited features on free plan
The free tier may have limitations on the number of responses, customization options, or advanced features, pushing users toward paid plans for full functionality.
  • No way to follow up
Because feedback is anonymous, there is no built-in mechanism to ask clarifying questions or engage in a dialogue with the person who provided the feedback, which can limit the usefulness of vague responses.
  • Lesser-known platform
AnonFeedback is a relatively niche tool compared to established survey and feedback platforms like SurveyMonkey or Google Forms, which means fewer integrations, community resources, and long-term reliability guarantees.
  • Limited analytics and reporting
The platform may lack robust analytics, data visualization, or reporting tools that larger feedback and survey platforms offer, making it harder to derive deep insights from collected feedback.

What's the story behind your product?

AnonFeedback's answer

The Story of AnonFeedback It started with a completely different goal: I was building a standard, paid survey tool for businesses.

But during development, I realized something while talking to my friends. We all had feedback we wanted to share about our workplacesโ€”frustrations, ideas, and honest critiquesโ€”but we were too afraid to say them. We realized that as long as a platform requires an account, there is a paper trail. If your details are in a database, you aren't truly anonymous.

So, I scrapped the original business plan. I removed the payment model and, most importantly, I deleted the login system entirely.

I built AnonFeedback.app to be the safe space I wished I had. A place where anyone can check, comment, and review the institutions in their lives without signing up, without tracking, and without fear.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

AnonFeedback's answer

React, Supabase, Vercel and Cloudflare
