• Streaming reliability on ADC-V521IR indoor camera

  I have a ADC-V521IR indoor camera and it's behaving sort of weird. The camera is going to both my alarm.com (brinks) account and a local SVR. The local SVR recordings are fine and don't have any quality/lag issues. But the live streaming capability will only stream for about 2 seconds or drop to extremely low quality.   I recently purchased a DR Horton home (resell, not new construction). I performed factory resets on all of the smart home equipment, IQ panel, skybell, garage door opener.   Vivint is a closed, proprietary system (if it's a newer panel). you'd have to replace everything. Like the other commenter said, there are plenty of systems that go cellular only or cellular/wifi/ethernet. alarm.com is a great option, but keep in mind they aren't a manufacturer, they're a software company. You still have to choose an alarm company to purchase equipment through and put you on the alarm.com... Source: about 3 years ago

  The communication device only works with one remote interactive service platform. So alarm.com communicators only work with alarm.com, Alula communicators only work with Alula's interactive platform, Honeywell/Resideo communicators only work with Alarmnet Total Connect. So if you buy an alarm.com SEM for your Safewatch 3000, you have to use alarm.com. You have to use an alarm company that supports alarm.com... Source: about 3 years ago

  It's a Vista 20p with firmware version 5.2. You're GTG for adding an alarm.com SEM, Envisalink EVL-4, AlarmDecoder, Alula BAT-Connect, and most any other third-party communicator. Source: about 3 years ago

  I recently switched to Liberty Security and have been happy with them -- they use alarm.com backend, but have their own central office monitoring.
