Aren't Typeform, Google Forms, Microsoft Forms all basically similar in that they are good for surveys etc. But not for much else? Airtable ( https://airtable.com ) has more typical forms and so does Visual DB ( https://visualdb.com ). - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago

It is possible to speed up the development and delivery process for many internal applications by using no-code or low code tools. These vary in offerings from open source to SaaS, including popular ones like AirTable, BudiBase, Retool, NocoDB and others. These can all greatly help speed up delivery times. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
For the backend, I opted for Airtable as a database. It's a simple, no-code solution that I've used before. It's not the most powerful database, but it's perfect for a project like this. I could easily add, edit, and delete records, and it has an embeddable form functionality that I used for user submissions. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
Airtable.com โ Looks like a spreadsheet, but it's a relational database unlimited bases, 1,200 rows/base, and 1,000 API requests/month. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
The ?XXXXX part of the URL identifies the type of interface page it is. Just copy that and then your formula is just "https://airtable.com.../...?XXXXXX=" & RECORD_ID() I'm not sure it works in every type of interface page (where you've started from a blank page for example). There has to be something to identify the record viewed from the page, if you see what I mean. Source: over 2 years ago
So I started building something on airtable.com that would allow me to easily track updates for each batch. What in your experience would make sense to track that I may be missing? Source: over 2 years ago
For character sheets, timelines and having records of chapters and scenes, I really really love Airtable. I have some examples here. Source: almost 3 years ago
I built custom logs in https://airtable.com. The service is free. The main reason I switched to it over Google Sheets is the ability to attach photos to records. Each load and group gets logged along with a photo export from BallisticX that I take at the range. The mobile app lets me upload everything on the spot. Source: almost 3 years ago
That is damn impressive. I was all digital from the start with https://reloadingstudio.com/ and just started using https://airtable.com as well for storing range log data. Still, that is some awesome organization in that photo. Source: almost 3 years ago
I would recommend https://airtable.com/. Especially since you're already familiar with Excel. It's like a spreadsheet but will let you add attachments, forms, lists, gallery views, calendar views, etc. You can even setup automations on your records. They have excellent tutorials on setting up new workflows. It's very customizable. https://www.notion.so/ is another good one though I prefer airtable. Source: almost 3 years ago
Thanks for the reply! Coda looks good, I'll definitely check it out. It looks to be to Google Docs & Word what Airtable is to Excel. Source: almost 3 years ago

We're also using airtable.com for some bills-payment-tracking purposes, since it has intuitive auto-computation of sums (which can be changed to some other stat like average) per column, and I can also attach images to a cell quite easily. Source: about 3 years ago

Airtable consistently positions itself as a versatile tool in the digital work and productivity ecosystem, frequently lauded for its hybrid structure that combines spreadsheet ease with database robustness. Public opinion, gathered from recent mentions and industry reviews, portrays Airtable as a highly flexible, no-code platform ideal for teams looking to organize structured information in a visually accessible manner. Below is a consolidated view highlighting the essential aspects of Airtable's positioning in the market and user experience:
Versatility and Usability: Airtable is applauded for its flexibility, functioning as a robust project management tool, a personal CRM, content management, and more. This flexibility enables it to serve various use cases, from marketing and editorial planning to managing design assets and user research.
Integration and Automation: Airtable's sophisticated integration capabilities offer significant advantages over competitors like ClickUp, especially in scenarios requiring seamless data integration from multiple platforms. Additionally, Airtableโs AI functionalities, which aid in data categorization and insights extraction, augment its appeal as a tool for data-driven decision-making.
Customizability: The ability to create highly customized fields, views, and templates is central to Airtable's allure. Users can adapt it to their specific workflow needs, turning it into a comprehensive project management suite with features like Kanban, Gantt, calendar, gallery, and timeline views.
No-Code and Low-Code Features: Airtable is celebrated for enabling rapid development and delivery of internal tools, appealing to both non-technical and technical users who benefit from its no-code and low-code functionalities.
User Experience: Many users appreciate its intuitive interface, which merges familiar spreadsheet paradigms with enhanced functionalities typical of databases, enabling straightforward data manipulation without needing extensive prior training.
Learning Curve: Despite its powerful offerings, Airtable is noted to have a steep learning curve, particularly for users unfamiliar with databases or spreadsheets. This complexity can make initial onboarding challenging compared to more straightforward tools like Breeze or Trello.
Team Communication Limitations: While exceptional in organizing data, Airtable is not specifically designed for direct team communication or collaboration at scale, which suggests potential reliance on complementary tools for full-spectrum project management.
Functionality Gaps: Some users have identified gaps in Airtable's functionality compared to specialized project management tools like Wrike, citing missing elements such as detailed activity dashboards and asset management modules that large teams might find essential.
Airtable provides a freemium model for individual users, which is a notable advantage for small projects or personal use. Paid plans start at $10 per user per month, catering to more complex needs, with custom enterprise plans available for large-scale deployments.
Airtable continues to maintain a strong standing as a leader in the no-code space, favored for its adaptability and efficiency in organizing diverse datasets. While learning curve and collaborative limitations exist, its ability to replace traditional spreadsheets like Google Sheets with a more dynamic and interactive database solution is a significant draw, making it a preferred choice for those looking to bridge the gap between spreadsheets and databases.
