Obsidian.md

To add to the pile, I use Obsidian to death for all my writing projects! It's not dissimilar to Scrivener, but more bare bones with greater customisation options. It gives you more file management flexibility than Word, with the trade off of losing formatting/style options. Markdown's quite simple to pick up though, and you can learn how to transform markdown into html files for easy plug-and-play onto AO3. Free to download, and customisable with plug-ins.
