I'm also a 45 yo. Dude who's spent a lot off time off the bike due to injury or illness. I don't race and I'd say I'm more competitive with myself than others. I suggest you go over the zwift.com's forums and make a post in the feature requests subforum about how this idiocy makes it very difficult to fit workouts into a someone's real life schedule. Zwift will ignore the request just like they have ignored years of other users' complaints about this, but the outrage while writing the post may result in a small training effect that will make up for Zwift preventing you...
