However, something integrated with the solar will know when there is or isn't excess energy and then wait charge your car when there's free electricity. The MyEnergi charger does this, which is the one I'm currently favouring when I eventually get an EV. Source: over 2 years ago

[From Australia YMMV] The Zappi charger from myenergi will do what you want. You will have to pay extra for the hardware to monitor with an app (the Hub). Source: about 3 years ago
