Now im really fired up about going to South America, any spanish speaking country in South America. I have my TEFL cert and about 1000 usd saved I just made a workaway.info account and have been sending a bunch of messages. Source: 9 months ago
That Is a great idea. I have many volunteering experiences in many countries in the world. The websites that you can use are worldpackers.com and workaway.info There is a yearly membership but it is totally worth it. Source: 10 months ago
Workaway.info - Workaway, private hosts and cultural exchange programs for all kinds of travelers, with jobs of everything from elder care to farming. Source: 10 months ago
I'm Canadian and I used workaway.info to plan my near-future 6-month trip to Japan. I think it's about $50 USD for an annual membership. Some of the Japanese hosts pay minimum wage in their region or slightly higher in exchange for the working opportunities they provide. You have to specifically find the postings labelled 'paid position' if you're interested in that though. Source: 10 months ago
Yo if you wanna travel check out Helpx.net Wwoof.net and workaway.info. Source: 11 months ago
Check out coolworks.com workaway.info for hosts / jobs with room and board or discounted lodging then you don't have to live in your car or pay rent. Usually the pay is utter shit but my only expense in life is gas + car insurance. Usually place do work-stay trades for ~20hours of labor per week then u can get a part-time job or work out a full-time paid schedule with your host. Source: 11 months ago
Not sure about the job part, but if you want a way to see the world for cheap and maybe do some film projects on the way you could always try doing work trade. I used a site called workaway.info or you could go through a wwoof program. So you'd have to work x amount of hours a week helping with some job and then the rest of the time you're free to explore. I'd just suggest doing research into the hosts you stay... Source: 11 months ago
So workaway is just a website, workaway.info. There is a charge of around $45 to use for a year. Good luck. Source: 12 months ago
I highly recommend checking out wwoof.net, helpx.net and workaway.info. They are websites where you can get volunteer gigs while traveling that will exchange free food and lodging for 3-4 hours of work per day. Usually the people that take part in these programs are pretty awesome. I always made friends and it's one of my favorite things to do while traveling. Some of the best experiences I've ever had where at... Source: 12 months ago
Hostel and for long term: register at workaway.info (requires a minor membership fee to be able to use it) its a platform for private people and hostels and farms etc offering people free accomodation(sometimes also payment) in exchange for a few hours of daily work. Maybe you find a host that is spontaneous and takes you in. You'd also get to know locals that way. Source: 12 months ago
Im sorry about your situation... Maybe you can look into being an au pair or opportunities on something like workaway.info or https://wwoof.net/ . You work in exchange in accommodations, meals, just look into what the host is offering. It might be worth it just to get some footing and figure out what your next move is. Source: about 1 year ago
If you enjoy travel and still are exploring how to use your creative passions into a path, I'd look into workaway.info. Source: about 1 year ago
Have you tried workaway.info yet bud? I'd volunteer but I'm a lil far from you in EU :P. Source: about 1 year ago
If you have enough money saved you can also check out http://workaway.info/ or worldpackers, which you live for free in exchange for labor in any part of the world. Source: about 1 year ago
If you really want to volunteer, then your heart is in the right place - find a charity that helps refugees, and ask them if they offer online ESL lessons that you could volunteer to teach, or if they have any refugees who need help with their English who you could help on a volunteer basis. There are also a few Asian and Eastern European and South American kindergartens on workaway.info looking for volunteer ESL... Source: about 1 year ago
You can find opportunities like this on workaway.info. Tougher to find long-term stays, but they're out there. Source: about 1 year ago
I have travelled from country to country and usually find a Workaway.info place to stay a few months, and work on the side renovating houses and properties. 3 months working at one place will usually give me a boost which gives me another 6 months of travel. Travelling is actually quite cheap if you know what you are doing. Jumping around to more affordable countries, housesitting, workaway.info,... Source: about 1 year ago
Wwoof.net workaway.info coolworks.com< --- good resources to get started, once you're out there, you'll meet more nomad types and find better spots where u can make a little money too like cannabis trim co-ops and shit, but those kinda jobs u usually gotta know someone to get in. Source: about 1 year ago
And there's a lot of hosts out there who take on people for workshares and stuff where room and board is given in trade for labor, all kinds of stuff out there too from farms to elder care to hostels or you can do work at camps / resorts but that's more like a typical 40hr/week paid job and they dock your pay or give you discounts on living accommodations. workaway.info or wwoof.net or coolworks.com are a good... I don't think so because all users have to have their ID verified and at least in the US, undergo a background check. There are other sites you can try like WorkAway in the meantime (workaway.info - their minimum age is 18). Source: about 1 year ago
